‘Friend with blue hair’

This is my alter ego, my stand-in who dares color her/his hair cerulean blue—when I would not. A pursuit of Imperfection sits inside my jewelry. Each piece represents a snapshot, a marker or signpost—of some frozen emotion, thought, revelation or reaffirmation—on the traveler’s journey. The road to embracing Imperfection is open-ended and fluid. It holds a relentless sense of yearning in it, for understanding more, for building human strength and a deeper resilience that only the embracing of Imperfection can bring. When assuming everything is immovable and absolute, life turns brittle—easily broken and smashed. My friend with blue hair is open, alert.
